Lake DistrictWoodside is a beautiful, luxury cottage, ideal for 2-3 couples and families. It was a mill workers lodging house and today the mill, located opposite the cottage, is owned by English Heritage.

The cottage has plenty of character which include the original oak beams and a fabulous inglenook fireplace, both make the spacious lounge a cosy retreat for nights in with a bottle of wine, whilst the romantic master bedroom with Egyptian cotton sheets, designer fabrics and luxury en suite is a haven after a hard days sightseeing.

There are a further two bedrooms, which consist of one other double and one twin. The family bathroom has a bath with overhead shower. Woodside is a hideaway of peace and quiet superbly well equipped, and an ideal base as many of the attractions can be reached on foot.

The cottage garden is a real sun trap and wonderful for eating alfresco. At the rear are parking spaces for 2 cars and a patio with seating for 6 people. A welcome tray and a detailed 'holiday guide' of the area and file of 'local walks' are all provided. The LCD TV has sky and there is a DVD, CD player.

Woodside was part of the historic Low Stott Park Bobbin Mill.The mill is now owned by English Heritage. Half a mile away at Lakeside is the Aquarium of the Lakes, Lakeside steam railway, lake Windermere cruise ships, Lakeside Hotel 4 star restaurant/ bar/Spa treatments,a bike hire centre, gift shop and cafe. At Fell Foot(accessible by ferry from Lakeside) are watersports on the lake, rowing boat/canoe hire etc and a public boat launch.

The new Motor Museum is 2 miles away Walks abound from the front door with the spectacular High Dam walk just half a mile away ranked by The Independant in the top ten secluded walks in the country. Woodside is right in the heart of Beatrix Potter country,Hill Top is minutes away The Swan Inn, for an excellent meal is 1 mile away and a scenic drive up the western shores to Esthwaite Water(for fishing) takes you on to Hawkshead with its traditional pubs, restaurants and quality shops. Nearby is Grizedale Forest for mountain biking, walks and Go Ape.
