The Haven Guest House and holiday let in Newby Bridge.
The Haven is located in the most scenic part of the lakes, known as Newby Bridge, which is a 15 minute drive to Bowness-on-Windermere, and only a 10 minute drive to the beautiful village of Cartmel, known for its sticky toffee pudding.
Lake Windermere is only a 10 minute walk, and the Swan Hotel is only a short distance away, where you can enjoy free membership to their health club for up to six guests.
The Haven offers luxurious accommodation with bespoke fittings and spacious open plan living, ideal for large families or groups.
The house offers 5 bedrooms, which consist of 2 double bedrooms and 1 twin room upstairs all of which are en suite, and a double bedroom downstairs plus a children’s bunk bed room complete with a collection of teddy bears and children’s books and toys. There is a family bathroom with bath and overhead shower to facilitate the downstairs bedrooms.

The family rooms consist of a large open plan living area with dining for 10 people and an open plan, fully equipped kitchen. This room also has bi-fold doors which fold back fully out onto the garden and patio. There is also a large conservatory with a second plasma TV with wii console and games.
All bedrooms are beautifully decorated and all have TVs and DVDs and panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. The master bedroom is a very romantic room with a 6ft bed and has a unique bath with a view, offering a sumptuous bathing experience.
The Haven has secure parking behind an automated gate, and is set in a spacious garden with a secluded patio with seating for 10 and decking. For the enthusiastic bike riders, there are numerous bike trails close by including Grizedale Forest. .
Fell Foot National Park, located on the shores of Lake Windermere is only a short stroll away, and offers activities, such as sailing and canoeing. Gummers Howe picnic area and walks are also a short distance away. The Haverthwaite railway with its original steam train is 5 minutes away, as are the cruise trips, which offer a leisurely and scenic trip down the lake to Bowness and Ambleside.
The Haven is a luxurious, private and romantic place to stay, and if you prefer to bring your four legged family member, then that’s Okay too, as we welcome dogs.
